Photo Club Does It Again!

Yes, that’s right! They have presented another great exhibit! Each year seems to build on the last!

Photo Club and 4th Grader’s Exhibit

The Evansville Arts Coalition is pleased to present a wonderful exhibit of photographs taken by EAC Photo Club members, members of the public, and Fourth Grade students from Brandon-Evansville School District as the inaugural exhibit in the Evansville Art Center Gallery for the 2024 Season.

This exhibit presents colorful and varied subject matter presented in photographs. Since receiving a grant from the Evansville Historical Foundation in 2017 for the purchase of cameras and equipment, the EAC Photo Club has been assisting the teachers and guiding 4th grade students in photo composition each year, hopefully sparking further interest in photography. The students are granted the use of the cameras and sent to take pictures. Two photos from each student participant have been selected as part of the exhibit. The fun and interesting photography of photo club members as well as pictures submitted by the public rounds out the exhibit. It’s always refreshing to see things, literally, through another’s eyes and camera lens!

Come and See for Yourself!

There are wonderfully diverse images of wildlife, landscapes, flora and a variety of other subjects to view framed on the gallery walls.  Some photographs may also be available for purchase from these gifted photographers.

If you are interested in learning more about photographic processes, techniques and having fun going on location photo shoots, please plan on coming to a Photo Club meeting on the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Evansville Arts Center. The next meeting is May 1, when we will have a presentation about using AI in photography.

The exhibit runs through April 27, and may be seen during regular Gallery hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Evansville Art Center is located at 111 Main Street, Evansville, Minnesota.  The building is handicap accessible.
