A Halloween Themed, Double Feature Movie Night!

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Attack of the Giant Leeches

Join us for Community Movie Night on Saturday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at EAC to see two celebrated black and white horror films - The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) and Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959).

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) is famous because it pioneered the German Expressionist film movement, established the modern horror and phycological thriller genres, and introduced groundbreaking visual and narrative techniques.

Attack of the Giant Leeches was one of a spate of “creature features” produced during the 1950s in response to Cold War fears; a character in the film speculates that the leeches have been mutated to giant size by atomic radiation.

Come settle in, bring a friend, and enjoy a night of horror film classics that really make statements about when and where they were created. Sometimes the classics really are the best!

This is open to members and non-members alike! There is no charge for this event. Donations are always gratefully accepted.

Bring your own snacks.

Doors open a 7:00 p.m. and the first movie will begin at 7:15 p.m. Come, join us to watch great classic horror films together!
