Explore the Shift from Spring to Summer

Join local poet LeAnn Bjerken at Evansville Art Center on May 28 for Nest and Bloom: On the Cusp of Summer, a poetry workshop exploring the shift from Spring to Summer. Through guided prompts, discussion, and example poems—one by Emily Dickinson and one of her own—Bjerken will lead participants in reflecting on the natural world and its quiet moments of transformation.

Poet LeAnn Bjerken

LeAnn Bjerken is a poet and writer who explores themes of nature, connection, and everyday magic in her work. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing and enjoys leading community workshops that help others find inspiration through poetry and the natural world. Her first poetry collection, Ordinary Omens, was released in September 2024 and is available for purchase.

No prior poetry experience needed. This workshop is open to ages 16 and up. Attendance is limited.  For more information and to register, contact LeAnn directly at: contact@leannbjerken.com. An inspirational packet of materials will be provided.  Attendees are requested to bring paper to write on and a pen or pencil.
