The Stitch and Yarn Group is a once a month get-together for all things to do with yarn. Crafters and artists can come with their current projects to share and hang out, while anyone from the community is able to learn from those gathered that day. A new kid's friendly yarn project and an introduction to crochet/knitting will be available at each meeting.

To form a strong community, an informal meeting will be held at each get-together and each participant will be encouraged to knit/crochet a square to add to a banner that could eventually be made into a "quilt" with enough squares.

This group is open to all ages. In addition to your own project and supplies, attendees are asked to bring a donation of a ball of yarn for the group's community supply, and any extra crochet hooks and knitting needles they might like to share.

Materials provided are yarn, crochet hooks, and knitting needles to borrow while at the group, kid activities (cardboard, recycled jars, beads), and a collection of patterns and ideas
