Travelin’ Light Travels to the EAC Stage

The four-person gospel singing group, Travelin’ Light, will perform at Evansville Art Center on Friday, October 3rdat 7:00 p.m.

Elaine Holcomb, Ellis Holcomb, Dave Balgaard, and Patty Kakac

The group includes a well-known area favorite, Patty Kakac, from Evansville, on guitar, autoharp and harmonica.. Dave Balgaard, from Ashby, plays guitar. Ellis Holcomb who plays bass and his wife, Elaine on vocals, are from Menahga.

Gospel harmonies are their main focus but they also do a few old favorite folk and country songs as well.

Ellis and Dave joined Patty as part of “Patty and The Pinetones” back in the '90's and early 2000's. Life sent them all in different directions for a while. Recently they have come together again to form the gospel quartet, Travelin' Light, adding Ellis's wife Elaine to round out the gospel sound. They have been playing at area celebrations and churches.

There is no charge for this event; donations are always gratefully accepted. Feel free to bring a treat to share at intermission, if you wish. Beverages will be provided. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
