Dear EAC Members and Guests,
There is a lot happening at the Evansville Arts Center as we finish out
August and look ahead to September. Here are a few important updates and
some wonderful opportunities to join us!
Open Mic Update
There will be no Open Mic on the third Thursday this month. We will see you next month!
September First Friday Update
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our First Friday Concert for September has been canceled. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to bringing music back to the EAC soon.

We are very excited to welcome the Lakes Area Theatre to the Evansville Arts Center on Sunday,
Tickets are $25, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Evansville Arts Center.

Paint Barn Quilts with Carol Johnson
Our own Carol Johnson has generously donated her time to create and paint barn quilts with members of our community.
Thursday evening Aug. 27th from 3:00–6:00 p.m.
Come paint, create, visit, and have some fun. We appreciate Carol sharing her talents and time with all of us!
Alexandria Art Guild Artist Reception, August 28, 6-8pm
This will be a wonderful evening featuring multiple artists who will be on hand to show their work, visit, and talk about their creative processes. If you haven't had a chance to see this beautiful exhibit yet, this is the night!
We hope you will join us for what promises to be an amazing evening celebrating our regional artists.
Movie Night is Here! August 21st- 8:15pm, “My Man Godfrey”
Something new is happening at the EAC!
Our gallery staff member Emma St. Lawrence has started Movie Night, and we are so excited to add this new activity for our community.
Join us for a fun-filled evening at the Art Center. Bring your own snacks, settle in, and enjoy the movie!
Four Points of Light, Open Artist Studios August 20 & 21st, 10:00am –5:00pm
Four accomplished Evansville artists whose work is recognized well beyond our community, will be opening their studios to the public. Take advantage of this opportunity to visit their studios, see where the creative process happens, and experience some of the incredible artistic talent we have right here in Evansville.
